An amazing Hour of Code™ 2023 adventure is behind us! We have had more than 30 children and more than 15 parents coding with us during 4 hours dedicated to learning computer science basics, coding, and artificial intelligence!
What made this event even more special was the presence of the children's parents! They were helping the children in their coding endeavors and also trying coding by themselves! At codethatidea, we always encourage the presence of parents while we teach coding to children, because this approach creates technology-related bonds and trust between children and their parents, which leads to higher awareness and safety when kids use technology online.
Whether they have chosen Alex or Steve to code in Minecraft®, or wanted to try out coding with Elsa, or train a machine learning algorithm to save the oceans from pollution while recognizing marine life - kids and their parents were learning computer science and artificial intelligence basics while being guided step by step by our professional educator.
We express our deepest gratitude to Platform C in Amstelveen, our main sponsor for this event. They provided us with modern classroom and staff support, and made this event truly unique in every way!
In 2024, we are continuing our partnership as they provide their classrooms for our coding courses - check more about it here: Coding Courses at Platform C.
